The Engineer will enable users to provision, analyze and consume data via performant, secure and scalable database platforms.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nArchitects and automates database platform provisioning, configuration, monitoring, issue remediation, and security.\n\nApplies expert understanding and troubleshooting of complex database systems.\n\nEstablishes, implements, and maintains best practice standards around code quality, deployment, security, architecture, and automation.\n\nCollaborates with business and technology teams to accomplish engineering project goals.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience\n\n10+ years of experience engineering for database engines (ex: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake)\n\n10+ years of experience programming interpreted scripting languages (Python and/ or Powershell)\n\n7+ years of experience working with cloud platforms in various cloud service providers (ex: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, RDS, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)\n\n8+ years of experience using SQL or NoSQL based languages\n\n8+ years of experience using and developing with configuration management products and applying Infrastructure as Code principles (ex; Terraform, Ansible, Powershell DSC, Puppet, Chef, Cloud Formation, etc.)\n\n5+ years of experience working with containerized platforms\n\nExpert knowledge of relevant database platform engine internals, infrastructure and concepts\n\nExpert knowledge of CI/CD and SDLC workflow (Ex: JIRA, Git, Github, Github Actions, Liquibase, Jenkins, Octopus, DbUp, etc.)\n\nExperience working with Kafka\n\nExperience working and developing with/on REST APIs and other non-DB direct interfaces\n\nApplies a high bar for database platform architecture and security to solutions\n\nEmbodies and applies an engineering mindset to all aspects of their role\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
