You’ll work closely with Designers, Engineers, and Production teams to help bring projects from idea to reality.\nYou’ll:\nCreate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks\nAssist in translating design intent into fabrication-ready documentation\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Project Management, and Production\nLearn and apply fabrication methods, materials, and industry standards\nSupport project teams in solving technical challenges during design and production\nContribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency across deliverables\nWhat We’re Really Looking For\nThis role is ideal for someone early in their career who sits between Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering.\nYou might be a great fit if you:\nHave a foundational understanding of how things are built in the physical world\nAppreciate design aesthetics, but also enjoy the technical side of making things real\nAre interested in working on experiential or built environment projects (exhibits, environments, retail, themed experiences, etc.)\nWant to grow your skills in both design thinking and technical execution\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field\n3-5 years of relevant experience (internships or project work included)\nTechnically proficient at an advanced level with SolidWorks, including top-down or in-context modeling\nTechnically proficient in Adobe Create Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator\nExposure to fabrication methods (wood, metal, plastics, etc.)\nStrong attention to detail and willingness to learn\nAbility to read and interpret drawings (architectural or mechanical is a plus)\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nNice to have:\nExperience with Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe Illustrator\nInterest in experiential design, exhibits, or themed environments\nWhy DI?\nYou’ll work on projects that don’t fit neatly into a box-combining storytelling, design, and fabrication to create something truly unique.
