Working independently or under general direction, the engineer supports moderately complex requirements involving voice networks, LAN/WAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems. The role develops network designs and installation and maintenance plans, defines system requirements and network specifications, analyzes information transport needs, coordinates implementation with other information systems professionals, and develops alternative solutions and backup plans with functional users.\n\nIn this role, you will support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Information Operations Enterprise Enclave (IOEE) and Information Operations Secure Enterprise Enclave (IOSEE) Engineering Support Services program in Springfield, VA. This is a hybrid position with onsite requirements once per week at minimum, plus onsite support at the DLA facility for SIPR-related tasks.\n\n*** This position is contingent upon contract award.*** \n\nResponsibilities:\n\nPlanning, executing, and documenting comprehensive laboratory assessments of hardware, software, and configuration changes that could affect the DLA network or interconnectivity across cloud, core, and remote sites. This includes conducting evaluations of emerging security solutions and traffic-management technologies.\nCoordinating with government customers to develop Technology Assessment Plans, Change Implementation Plans (CIP), Enterprise Change Requests (ECR) including objectives, technical approach, procedures, schedules, roles and responsibilities.\nPreparing detailed After Action Reports documenting approach, results, and recommendations.\nIdentifying emerging network capabilities and developing evaluation and selection criteria.\nDeveloping system evaluation methods, testing approaches, and technical documentation while leveraging DLA's network monitoring systems.\nProducing formal engineering documentation for executive-level briefings.\nEnsuring interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN network systems.\nPlanning and tracking implementation tasks, creating network maps, detailed designs, test plans, ORT reports, device configurations, and procedures.\nDefining network requirements, analyzing telecommunications needs, and collaborating with IT professionals to implement network services.\nDeveloping alternative solutions and backup plans with functional users.\nProviding constructive feedback and identifying configuration and/or routing improvements to lead and senior engineers for consideration and implementation.\n\nQualifications:\n\nYears of Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience.\nEducation Level: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in lieu of degree\nClearance Requirements: Active Secret clearance with SSBI (Tier 5 investigation) or Top-Secret clearance.\nCertification Requirements:8570/8140: IAT Level II - CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA SecurityCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).\n\nPreferred Certifications:CCNP Enterprise, Check Point CCSA\n\nStrong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, including but not limited to OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP, STIG compliance, routing/switching, and multi-vendor network devices.\nExperience with wired, wireless, voice, and video technologies.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, provide updates, and meet onsite requirements.\n\nSalary Range: $100,000 to $120,000\n\nThe compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
