This position is responsible for the firm's accounts payable functions including coding and entering invoices, processing check requests, maintaining files and answering inquiries from vendors, legal assistants, and attorneys. \n\nResponsibilities\nPaperless document processing and workflow management\nProcessing and troubleshooting data imports into payable activity into ERP or other external systems\nConverting text files into excel to build a upload or import file\nAudits expense reimbursement forms for accuracy and compliance with firm guidelines\nSorts and codes invoices and check requests\nVerifies that invoices, check requests and expense forms have necessary approvals\nEnters and scans invoices, check requests and expense forms into accounts payable system\nMatches checks with corresponding invoice, check request or expense form and submits for signature\nProcess daily and emergency checks for all regional offices\nCredit card processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution\nFiles paid invoices, check request and expense reimbursement forms\nResponsible for petty cash, payouts, receipts etc.\nEnters costs for petty cash, copy charges, charge memos, etc.\nMails checks with required documentation\nMaintains vendor files\nImports, makes corrections and posts various disbursement files\nCorresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries\nAssists with month end close and with yearly 1099 preparation and mailing\nFollows all firm established accounting policies and procedures\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with file upload processes and data imports\nStrong Excel skills, (text file to excel conversion, vlookup, text to columns)\nKnowledge of credit card expense processing and account reconciliation\nFamiliarity with paperless workflow systems and electronic document management\nExperience using Chrome River\n\nRequirements\nAt least 1 year of accounting
