The position is responsible for providing paralegal support to the attorneys in the Intellectual Property Department. \n\nResponsibilities\nCorrespond with foreign associates regarding searching, filing, maintaining, and enforcing trademarks of our clients\nSearch trademark registrations in USPTO and various foreign trademark offices\nConduct research to gather and store information regarding use of trademarks for enforcement and maintenance\nReview and revise affidavits/declarations/oppositions to ensure accuracy and completeness of client information \nPrepare, file, and monitor trademark applications\nDraft responses to office actions\nDraft oppositions to applications for conflicting trademarks\nDraft affidavits of use and file with the USPTO\nDraft renewal applications\nPrepare and/or obtain documents for legalization\nReview and organize files, reviewing docket for deadlines\nAssist with copyright filings\nAssist with preparing trademark-related agreements\n\nRequirements\nProficiency with the USPTO’s online tools, including Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and online tools of the Assignment Branch and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), preferred\nDomestic and foreign filing experience preferred\nGeneral knowledge of intellectual property filing and prosecution rules/regulations is required\nExperience with Anaqua docketing system preferred\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy of work\nSuperior verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to work professionally and confidentially with a variety of personalities from all levels of an organization.\nProven organizational and multi-tasking skills\nIndependent, action-oriented thinker who will successfully undertake and complete projects and major tasks with limited supervision and work with other practice assistants as a team\nStrong work ethic and commitment to excellence and professionalism\nCommunicate effectively and professionally (verbal and written)\nMust be dependable and hardworking team player\nAbility to prioritize work\nMust have a college degree, paralegal certificate, or relevant work experience\nTwo or
