We are a mission-driven company of world-class engineers and operators with a culture of high trust, high agency, and high autonomy.\nRole Overview\nAs a Forward Deployed Manufacturing Engineer, you will work directly with manufacturing teams to translate real-world build processes into structured, scalable workflows within BuildOS. You will act as a digital manufacturing engineer, helping customers move from legacy processes to a model-based, software-driven system. You will be deeply embedded during pilots and early deployments, ensuring customers not only understand the product-but successfully adopt it.\nResponsibilities\nTranslate customer assembly processes into BuildOS workflows\nCreate and structure work instructions from CAD and engineering data\nLead onboarding and drive adoption during pilots and early deployments\nAct as a trusted advisor to manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams\nIdentify inefficiencies in customer workflows and propose improvements\nPartner with product and engineering to surface high-impact feedback\nSupport demos, technical evaluations, and customer check-ins\nQualifications\nBackground in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering\nExperience working in or closely with manufacturing environments\nStrong intuition for how things are built in the real world\nAbility to break down and structure complex assembly workflows\nExcellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences\nHigh ownership and comfort working directly with customers\nTechnical Background\nExperience with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.)\nFamiliarity with PLM / ERP systems and manufacturing workflows\nUnderstanding of EBOM / MBOM concepts and production processes\nExperience creating or managing work instructions\nCompensation\nBase: $90,000 - $120,000 + Equity\nLocation & Travel\nThis is a hybrid role with frequent travel to customer sites.
