Manufacturing engineering has been underserved by fractured tooling. The work of defining how a product gets built is spread across process plans, MBOMs, routings, work instructions, spreadsheets, PLM configurations, ERP tables, and internal tools. Each artifact represents only part of the process, forcing engineers to rebuild context whenever a design changes.\nBuildOS brings these workflows together in one environment. Manufacturing engineers author, version, review, and distribute the Build-the canonical definition of how a product is produced.\nHow You Will Contribute:\nOwn critical systems-design, build, and scale them.\nWork directly with manufacturers to ensure our tools solve real problems.\nOperate in high-agency mode-if it needs doing, you do it.\nTechnical Requirements:\nFrontend Expertise:\n - Experience in web development with a strong focus on frontend engineering.\n - Expert-level proficiency in React, Javascript/Typescript, Redux, and TailwindCSS.\n - Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, component-based development, and best practices.\n - Experience designing highly complex frontends from the ground-up with re-usable component design.\n - Experience with Three.js or other 3D web-based visualization frameworks.\n - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, with an ability to implement clean and intuitive interfaces.\n - Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques, accessibility, and responsive design.\nFull Stack/Backend Experience (Nice to Have):\n - Proficiency with backend technologies in languages such as Python or Node.js.\n - Experience designing and working with APIs (e.g. REST and/or gRPC)\n - Understanding of database design and querying with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or DynamoDB\n - Familiarity with background task processing frameworks such as Celery.\nNice to Have:\n - Background in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial software.\n - Familiarity with Figma or similar tools for UI/UX collaboration.\n - Experience with Next.js or other SSR/SSG frameworks.\n - Knowledge of WebAssembly (WASM) or Rust for frontend performance optimization.\n - Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems for web-based applications.\n - Expert proficiency in Go, Python, and C++.\n - Strong experience with gRPC with Protocol Buffers and RESTful API design.\n - Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB), and caching strategies (Redis).\n - Proficiency in building event-driven, distributed systems using Celery, Kafka, or AWS SQS.\n - Experience designing and implementing role-based access control (RBAC) and authentication systems (OAuth, Cognito, JWT).\nSalary & Compensation:\n- Salary range: $120,000-$200,000 (based on YoE)\n- Equity: stock option grant\nBenefits:\n- Health, Dental, Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to ensure you and your family stay healthy.\n- Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy flexible, high-trust PTO and sick leave.\n- Stock Options: Participate in our success with a generous stock option plan.\n- Commuter Benefits (NYC): Save on transportation costs with our commuter benefits program.\n- Must be a U.S. Person to apply.\nNew York Pay Range\n$120,000—$200,000 USD\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nDirac is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
