You’ll gain hands-on engineering experience by researching products and technologies, supporting product testing and prototypes, and contributing to cross-functional development projects while building your skills in areas such as Quality Management Systems, business planning, and patent research.\nDirect Supply is building the future of healthcare technology with industry-leading products, solutions and platforms to help improve the lives of millions of seniors and those who care for them.\nWhat You’ll Do and Impact:\nResearch products, components, and emerging technologies to develop specifications for new product introductions that create value for customers.\n\nContribute to product development projects led by senior engineers, helping accelerate development from concept through launch.\n\nSupport cross-functional project teams in identifying and evaluating high-value opportunities for new and innovative products.\n\nReview business plans and recommend technologies that support desired product and business outcomes.\n\nApply technology and AI tools to research and development activities to simplify processes, strengthen insights, and improve products.\n\nDevelop and perform product comparison testing and establish standards for evaluating product performance.\n\nCreate concept sketches, engineering drawings, logic diagrams, and other technical documentation to support prototypes and new product concepts.\n\nSkills Needed:\nLearn & Adapt - Continuously grow and adapt as technology, customer needs, roles, and work systems evolve. Stay curious, learn beyond your core specialty, experiment with new approaches, use AI to accelerate learning, and improve through feedback and setbacks.\n\nSystems Thinking & Problem Solving - Identify the right problems to solve by understanding the broader system - customers, stakeholders, processes, data, technology, and AI. Seek and integrate different perspectives, contribute ideas, work through dependencies, and help teams make progress together through change and ambiguity.\n\nStrong curiosity and motivation to explore AI capabilities such as natural language processing, computer vision, or generative models.\n\nExperience:\nCurrently enrolled in a technical degree program in Engineering, Quality, Sciences, Technology, or a related field.\n\n3 or more semesters remaining before graduation.\n\nStrong attention to detail and precision with effective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently, take accountability for assignments, and adapt to changing priorities.\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work approximately 10-20% of the time.\n\nEagerness to learn and apply new software, technologies, and engineering tools.\n\nAbility to work approximately 20-25 hours per week during the school year and approximately 40 hours per week during the summer.\n\nAdditional Items of Interest:\nSolidWorks experience.\n\nExposure to product development, prototyping, product testing, Quality Management Systems, or related engineering processes.\n\nInterest in applying AI and emerging technologies to engineering and product development.\n\nJob to be performed in the location listed.
