You’ll partner with the teams that design, build, and support Discord - improving app performance, enhancing the user experience, and driving growth. Your work will span strategic analyses, experimentation, and dashboarding. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who can help us take Discord’s mobile and desktop reliability to the next level through better metrics, monitoring, and automation.\nIf you’re passionate about data and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!\nWhat you'll be doing\nPartner with teams throughout Discord through the full analytics lifecycle - from exploratory analyses to dashboards, reports, and A/B testing\nDefine KPIs and diagnostic metrics that improve the user experience, and build dashboards to make them timely and actionable\nBuild custom datasets to monitor novel product features and processes\nShare insights with technical and non-technical audiences, and iterate based on feedback\nChampion A/B testing best practices - helping teams design, analyze, and interpret experiments correctly\nCollaborate with data and engineering teams to design scalable and future-proof instrumentation and self-serve tooling\nWhat you should have\n2+ years of hands-on analytics experience turning ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable insights\nExperience designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests at scale\nStrong SQL skills and experience building clean, performant dashboards (Tableau, Looker, or similar)\nClear communication skills, with the ability to make complex findings easy to understand\nCuriosity, a collaborative attitude, and a drive to solve hard problems\nBonus Points\nPassion for Discord or online communities\nExperience with performance/reliability analytics for online services\nFamiliarity with social or subscription products (social graphs, LTV, funnel analysis)\nProduction ETL or BigQuery experience\nExperience using AI in data science work\n\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
