Combining scale, expertise, actuarial modelling and sophisticated systems, the platform helps businesses meet their decarbonisation goals and decrease funds spent on electricity.\n\nAbout the role\n\nDiscovery Green is looking for an accomplished enterprise sales professional to originate and convert significant new-business opportunities with leading South African companies.\n\nThis is a senior, front-line commercial role for someone who can open doors at C-suite level, build trusted executive relationships and navigate complex B2B sales cycles from origination to contract close.\n\nYou will need the commercial judgement and intellectual agility to rapidly master a sophisticated renewable-energy proposition and translate technical complexity into a compelling business case for senior decision-makers.\n\nKey Outputs / Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:\n\nOriginate new-business opportunities across the South African corporate market.\n\nBuild and leverage relationships with CEOs, CFOs, COOs and other senior decision-makers.\n\nDevelop a strong understanding of prospective clients, their renewable-energy strategies, key stakeholders and buying processes.\n\nMaster Discovery Green’s offering and communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly to executive audiences.\n\nLead the B2B sales process for Discovery Green’s long-term products, including Green Saver, Green Guarantee and Green Flex, from origination through pitch, quoting and contracting, supported by the New Business back-office team. \n\nBuild a high-quality pipeline and contribute directly to Discovery Green’s new-business targets.\n\nEducation \n\nHonours degree or equivalent. \n\nSkills and experience\n\nEssential\n\nA strong track record in enterprise B2B sales, new-business origination or complex solution selling.\n\nDemonstrable experience personally originating and progressing large, complex commercial opportunities.\n\nProven credibility with C-suite and senior corporate decision-makers.\n\nA strong senior-level network in the South African business market, with the ability to create access independently.\n\nExperience navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.\n\nStrong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and executive presence.\n\nThe intellectual agility to rapidly understand sophisticated technical and commercial concepts and turn them into persuasive client propositions.\n\nYou’ll thrive in this role if...\n\nYou are a hunter and relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for leads.
