As global thought leaders, Discovery is passionate about innovating to not only achieve financial success, but to ignite positive and meaningful change within our society.\n\nKey Purpose\n\nTo develop and coordinate effective learning solutions and training content that address skills gaps within Discovery Connect, using innovative digital tools, training simulators and analytics to enhance employee learning and capability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThe successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions: \n\nDesign and generate engaging training content for Discovery Connect training needs, across multiple platforms.\n\nBuild training simulators to support facilitating system training navigation training.\n\nPrimary focus would be to fulfill training gaps within Discovery Connect.\n\nTraining Facilitation and/or Train the Trainer, a per business needs.\n\nMaintain training content on an ongoing basis.\n\nCo-ordinate Discovery Connect Training needs with other internal/external training providers monthly basis.\n\nBook training rooms and ensure that all training need and requirements are in place.\n\nMeasuring the success of content using analytics tools and adjusting strategies based on the data\n\nReport regularly on all training for the month.\n\nAdherence to Copyright and Privacy laws.\n\nCompetencies and Skills\n\nBehavioural Competencies\n\nWorking with people.\n\nPlanning and organising.\n\nDelivering results and meeting customer expectations.\n\nCreating and innovating.\n\nPresenting and communicating information.\n\nPersuading and influencing.\n\nCoping with pressure and setbacks.\n\nAdhering to principles and values.\n\nCustomer centric.\n\nEmpathetic.\n\nExcellent presentation skills.\n\nKnowledge\n\nKnowledge of Learning and Development principles\n\nInstructional design\n\nLearning Management Systems, digital content development\n\nUnderstanding of AI-enabled learning solutions\n\nDigital content development\n\nTraining simulator development\n\nTraining coordination and administration\n\nKnowledge of contact centre operations and the financial services environment would be advantageous.\n\nSkills\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nExcellent time management and organisational skills\n\nCommunicate effectively with diverse personalities.\n\nA passion for developing high-quality, effective, and engaging learning solutions.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nEducation: \n\nMatric.\n\nAdvanced MS Office Skills.\n\nEducation & training qualification (ETDP), specifically Design and Development would be advantageous.\n\nExperience \n\nExpertise in Learning Management systems.\n\nExperience with building simulators for training purposes is a requirement.\n\nFinancial Industry, Call Centre training related experience advantageous.\n\nExperience with creating training solutions with the use of AI is advantageous.\n\nInstructional design experience within the financial services or insurance industry is advantageous.\n\nEMPLOYMENT EQUITY \n\nThe Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
