Please click here to apply internally.\nThis role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, TN.Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Equipment Operator to join the Agronomy Department.\nThe Equipment Operator, under the supervision of the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent, or Equipment Manager, performs work involving the use of large and small equipment including tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers and other maintenance equipment. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.\n***Full-time hourly role. Starting pay $18-$20 per hour.***\nKey Responsibilities\nOperates all types of equipment including utility vehicles, flymos, mechanical sand trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skip loaders and sprayers.\nMows greens, tees, fairways and rough with small power mowers, trimmers, greens mower, tee mowers, fly-mos and backpack blowers on designated area of the golf course.\nRakes and manicures desert landscape and rakes sand traps.\nPerforms hand mowing or hand trimming work.\nPerforms renovations and construction work, i.e. shoveling and raking.\nPerforms cleaning procedures and manual labor tasks.\nLoads and unloads materials.\nExcavates and back fills ditches and trenches with hand tools.\nRakes and manicures transition areas.\nLays sod.\nParticipates in annual over-seeding of the golf course.\nAssists in construction of new greens, tees and fairways.\nCleans drains and culverts.\nSweeps cart paths.\nCollects and empties litter cans.\nOperates small utility vehicles in hauling mowers and materials and removing debris, as necessary.\nPerforms janitorial work in cleaning and maintaining a building.\nCultivates and waters trees and plants.\nPerforms other related groundwork as required.\nOther duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nValid Drivers License.\nPrior experience working on a golf course maintenance team or similar construction experience.\nKnowledge of large and small engine operation and repair.\nKnowledge of hydraulic powered machine operation and repair. Additional Requirements\nPositive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.\nMust be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
