Please click here to apply internally.\nJoin the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do!This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.\nHomewood is seeking a Certified Ski or Snowboard Instructor to join the Snowsports Department.\nJob Summary:\nThis role is responsible for creating unforgettable experiences and lifelong memories for our guests. You will deliver world-class snowsports instruction to students of all ages and abilities, using modern, student-centered teaching techniques in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. As a visible ambassador for the resort and the sport, you will inspire passion for skiing and snowboarding, foster skill development, and promote a culture of safety, fun, and learning. By building genuine connections and delivering exceptional guest service, you will help ensure our guests return season after season.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nProvide professional, engaging snowsports instruction to guests of all ages and ability levels, tailoring lessons to individual needs and goals.\nUse modern, student-centered teaching methods to create a safe, fun, and effective learning environment.\nAssess guest skills and progress, offering clear, constructive feedback and achievable next steps.\nModel and promote safe skiing and riding practices, including proper use of lifts and awareness of mountain conditions.\nAct as an ambassador for the resort by delivering exceptional guest service and fostering a welcoming atmosphere on and off the snow.\nCommunicate effectively with guests, parents/guardians, and fellow team members to ensure an outstanding experience.\nMaintain a professional appearance and behavior that reflects resort standards.\nAssist with group organization, class assignments, and lesson scheduling as needed.\nStay current with industry best practices, resort programs, and safety protocols through ongoing training and certification.\nSupport resort events, programs, and initiatives that promote snowsports and enhance the guest experience.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSkills & Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with PSIA/AASI or equivalent instructional methodologies.\nKnowledge of local mountain terrain, conditions, and resort operations.\nMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience.\nExperience working with children.\nAdditional Requirements:\nFlexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.\nPositive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nAbility to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.\nAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.\nMust be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
