Please click here to apply internally.\nJoin the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do!This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Dune Deck Beach Club, set in Westhampton Beach, New York.\nDune Deck Beach Club is seeking a Beach Supervisor to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This is a seasonal role available May 1 to October 9, 2027.\nIn this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage all staff within the department: Lifeguards, Pool & Beach Attendants, Outdoor Pursuits Attendants, Kids Camp Attendants specifically in the absence of the Beach Manager.\nScheduling, training and on-going feedback of all direct reports.\nMaintain a clean, organized and safe work environment \nAttend off site excursions and field trips with Members \nActively monitor budget and variance reports with Director of Outdoor Operations \nGenerate daily reports of activities throughout department for Beach Manager\nProvide risk management for all activities and outdoor/indoor spaces throughout department. \nPerform first aid treatments when necessary.\nAttend meetings and trainings as necessary.\nAny other duties as assigned.\nCompetencies for Success in the Role\nRegularly work with other departments or projects and frequently in a team environment\nMake decisions with a team and independantly while always putting member and staff safety first.\nDelivers results - getting things done on time and accurately during the busiest of times while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. \nStrategic thinking - ability to make decions in a demanding environment.\nQualifications\nObtain and maintain active Discovery 4 Life and American Red Cross CPR, AED, First Aid certifications. \nStrong verbal and written communiction in English, additional languages helpful.\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor degree preferred.\nSupervisory experience, 1-3 years\nUnderstanding of Guest Service in luxury level resort or private club setting\nAdditional Requirements\nPositive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.\nMust be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
