Don't miss out on the excitement and join our important mission today!\nPosition:\nInteractors are the heart and spirit of Discovery Cube. They are responsible for interacting and engaging with a wide range of people in a very dynamic and high energy environment. Interactors will assist guests in interacting with specific exhibits and are trained on the science behind each exhibit. Interactors may also be required to perform basic science presentations to guests in the structure of tabletop facilitations or demonstrations. Interactors are required to provide friendly customer service to every guest. The Interactor will report to the Shift Lead on duty and will serve as a role model on how to use exhibits to all staff.\nThis is a seasonal position, anticipated to run from November 2026 through January 2027.\n Responsibilities:\nInteractors are responsible for providing friendly and professional interaction to both guests and staff. They are required to offer helpful and knowledgeable information about Discovery Cube and its available offerings.\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nProactively engage guests while on the floor and interacting with exhibits\nEnsure all guests are having a fun and safe experience\nUnderstand and use the Galaxy program as needed\nOperate and use equipment as outlined in the Interactor Manual\nLead science-based demonstrations for multiple age levels\nAssist with stage shows, field trips, birthday parties and other programs as needed\nQualifications:\nAvailability Requirements:\nTo be considered, candidates must have:\n Full weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday) for up to 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM\n One full weekday between 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, or 2 half-days (8:30 AM - 1:30 PM/1:00 PM - 5:30 PM)\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma required; College degree preferred (especially in Science or Education)\nMinimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (preferred)\nPublic speaking or performance experience\nPrior experience working with children\nSkills & Knowledge\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nFriendly demeanor with the ability to engage adults and children of all ages\nMust have a basic understanding of scientific concepts and a willingness to learn and teach them\nMust be a proactive, self-starter who works well independently\nAbility to work effectively with a diverse group of people\nBasic computer knowledge required (email, internet browsing);
