This team focuses on the deployment of 5G voice and packet core powered by Nokia, Mavenir and Oracle working in a live production environment, using CI/CD operations in order to test, debug, and deploy solutions. This position will contribute to ongoing process improvement reviews, identifying areas for automation and overall efficiency improvements to help increase service up-time and overall customer experience. This is a great opportunity for an individual to step on board a growing and financially strong start up.\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\nDeploy and support 5G signaling core network functions over public cloud standalone 5G network.\nInvolved in monitoring the system health of signaling network functions using KPIs and alarms\nEnsure that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and/or assist in the development of these standards and best practices.\nParticipate in the investigation of innovative 5G technologies to improve the network virtualization infrastructure.\nEngage with vendor personnel to set up/validate new services and features as well as upgrades.\nPossess extensive hands-on experience with the 5G signaling core domain, related network functions and call flows.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team player.\nParticipates in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas.\nShould be available to support production issues, after hours as well as a rotational on-call.\n\n Core Skills, Competencies, and Key Experiences (What you'll bring)\n\nAs a successful Lead 5G Signaling Engineer, you will have:\n\nBachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronics/Computer Engineering.\n8-14 years of experience working within the wireless industry on either the carrier or vendor side of the house.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP networking and familiarity with TCP, UDP, SCTP, HTTP, Diameter protocols and 5G interfaces.\nHands-on experience with 5G signaling and packet core network functions incl NRF, PCF, BSF, AMF, SMF.\nPrior experience deploying and managing signaling and packet core elements in Tier I / II Carrier networks.\nPrior experience validating 5G signaling calls with detailed call flow analysis.\nWorking knowledge in a Virtualization platform based on a Cloud Native Principle.\nFamiliarity with containers and relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.\nFamiliar with DevOps and CI/CD methodology and related tools.\nKnowledge of Protocol Analysers, Wireshark, NetScout, RADCOM or other similar tools.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nSelf-starter, capable of working independently, innovative and eager to learn state-of-the art technologies.\n\nAbout our Department\n\nOur Wireless Technology team is pioneering the future of connectivity.
