get to do:\nCollaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams to support full product development.\nLead the design, development and validation of electronic hardware systems, including circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection. \nBuild, prototype, debug, and document hardware designs for new product development.\nApply electrical engineering principles such as circuit analysis, modeling, thermal management, and EMC considerations.\nEngage with customers on-site, providing technical leadership and building strong relationships.\nLead hardware design reviews and guide technical decision-making across projects.\nDevelop and execute test strategies, including pre-compliance and validation testing at certified labs. \nEstimate technical tasks, timelines, and project scope for customer engagements.\nContribute to and improve internal engineering tools, processes, and best practices.\nSupport business development through technical input on proposals and customer discussions.\nMentor engineers and contribute to developing team capabilities and consulting excellence.\nWhat will make you successful:\nBachelor of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.\n10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design or product development.\nSelf-starter with an entrepreneurial, adaptable mindset.\nStrong problem-solving skills and comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaped undefined requirements.\nProven experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and hardware bring-up.\nFamiliarity with embedded systems and ability to collaborate effectively with software teams.\nExperience with lab validation, testing, and regulatory/pre-compliance processes.\nAbility to travel to customer sites is essential (mostly local in West Michigan but sometimes domestic).\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.\nMust have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or
