Dispelix is headquartered in Finland.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for an energetic and result-driven R&D Engineer to strengthen our R&D team in Joensuu. You will execute and plan R&D-related manufacturing tasks performed mainly in the cleanroom environment.\nWhat you will do:\nManufacture novel, state-of-the-art Dispelix AR optical waveguides\n\nParticipate in customer projects\n\nDevelop new manufacturing processes and solve related technical challenges\n\nCollaborate closely with internal teams to keep the pole position in manufacturing the best see-through displays\n\nReport your own work: using e.g. power point, excel, word\n\nWhat you bring:\nExperience in micro- and nanofabrication\n\nExperience in working in a cleanroom environment\n\nComfortable with hands-on micro- and nanofabrication in cleanroom environment\n\nComfortable leading small internal development projects\n\nFluent in English - both written and spoken\n\nTalent for paying attention to details\n\nBeneficial skills:\nExperience in characterization tools such as ellipsometry, SEM, AFM\n\nExperience in fabrication processes such as thin-film coating, photolithography, plasma etching, wet processing, e-beam lithography and/or nano imprinting lithography\n\nMicro- and nanophotonics understanding\n\nCapability to handle and process sensitive samples\n\nGood communication and organization skills\n\nAs a person, we hope that you are:\nComfortable with dynamic R&D environments\n\nComfortable working individually or as a part of a team\n\nA good communicator and comfortable with English as working language\n\nOpen-minded and courageous\n\nFlexible and have innovative mindset\n\nMotivated to follow instructions to point and take pride of the work well done\n\nProactive and positive, and you have a hands-on approach\n\nWorking at Dispelix\nDispelix offers a modern workplace with flexible working arrangements, comfortable offices, and state-of-the-art R&D facilities.
