We're looking for the engineer who will own that transformation.\nAt DistantJob, we're searching for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer for one of our U.S.-based clients. They're building a platform that cleans, matches and unifies vendor data for many client firms, then feeds it to their payment products through an API. The engineer who joins will take real ownership of that platform alongside the Tech Lead.\nThis isn't a \"pick up tickets and wait for instructions\" role. You'll shape how the platform is designed and shipped, from the first scoping conversation to production.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesigning, building and running the platform end to end, across backend and frontend\nBuilding and maintaining the APIs other systems rely on, plus the screens operators use every day\nOwning vendor data mastering, matching, deduplication and reconciliation, and the data-quality checks that keep records trustworthy\nScaling the platform across many client tenants and growing data volumes, including asynchronous and event-driven processing\nWorking with the Tech Lead on architecture and with product on priorities\nKeeping quality high through code reviews, tests and a disciplined development process\nWhat we're looking for\n5+ years of software engineering, with real production ownership\nStrong Python and modern API development\nFrontend experience with Angular or React, and TypeScript\nSolid SQL and relational data modeling\nCloud experience with Azure or AWS\nExperience with multi-tenant or multi-client systems\nExperience with event-driven or message-based architectures\nThe independence to own work from design to production, partner closely with product, and keep up in a fast-paced environment\nBonus points\nExperience with large, messy datasets: matching, deduplication, transformation and reconciliation across sources\nBackground in payments, accounts payable, fintech or fund administration\nFamiliarity with entity resolution, record linkage, and AI-assisted matching\nHands-on use of AI development tools\nTech you'll work with\nPython, TypeScript (Angular or React), SQL, Azure or AWS, REST APIs, event-driven architectures\nThe setup\nFully remote, long-term, full-time position (8 hours a day, 5 days a week)\nWorking hours aligned with U.S. business hours\nDirect integration into the client's engineering team\nReady to apply?\nSend us your resume using the form below!
