We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for credit control and accounts administration who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Credit control is central to our business, and in this role you'll see the direct impact of your work every day.\nYou'll work closely with the Senior Credit Controller to ensure accounts are managed accurately and on time, in line with company procedures. You'll support debt collection across Daft, DoneDeal and Direct Media - from allocating payments and chasing missed payments, to handling failed Direct Debits and following up with customers. Scope may expand to additional Distilled brands as the company grows.\nIn this role, we’re looking for someone who is:\nNumerate - You’ll be working with invoices, payments and outstanding balances.\n\nOrganised and efficient - We issue over 5,000 invoices per month.\n\nLevel-headed - You can keep their cool in difficult situations.\n\nPragmatic - You use good judgement when contacting customers in relation to debt.\n\nHighly organised with an eye for detail as well as an ability to work towards specific targets.\n\nClear, confident communicator comfortable talking on the phone.\n\nProactive team player comfortable to work towards priorities and targets independently.\n\nAlways looking to improve and enhance processes who can demonstrate this using clear examples from previous roles.\n\nCurious about AI - someone who's keen to use AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently, not just stick to the old way of doing things.\n\nHow you’ll Create with Impact\nAssisting with the collection of outstanding monies promptly and efficiently\n\nMaking calls to customers with accounts in arrears, emailing customers and working with our sales and customer service teams\n\nSending out emails, statements and final payment reminders to customers and other ad hoc customer requests\n\nEnsuring customers pay within agreed credit terms\n\nReceiving incoming customer, EFTs and remittance advice and applying payments to customer accounts, including allocation and reconciliation of receipts\n\nTracking and resolving failed Direct Debits (due to cancelled mandates or insufficient funds), escalating issues to the Sales team if not settled within agreed timeframes\n\nWorking towards specific targets/KPIs for debt collection (90+ %, Reduction of DSO and cash collected)\n\nHighlighting accounts with significant risk\n\nDealing efficiently and effectively with incoming calls and customer queries to facilitate payments from customers\n\nCollaborate with sales and customer services as required in order to correctly setup customers in accordance with company guidelines, and maintain an accurate position on customer accounts\n\nRequirements\nWhat you’ll need to Play your Part\n2+ years Credit Control experience in a fast paced environment\n\nPassion for excellent customer service and pursuing a career in credit control\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\nExcellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and highly numerate\n\nProficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets\n\nFlexible and able to adapt to challenging environments and situations\n\nSelf starter who can work on their own initiative and demonstrate the ability to be a great teammate\n\nCustomer focused with the ability to collaborate with other departments\n\nA positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude and flexible approach to work\n\nSelf-motivated and highly organised, able to multitask and prioritise work\n\nHighly efficient with the ability to prioritise tasks and ensure that all documentation and queries are dealt with in a timely manner\n\nExperience of working with tools such as Salesforce, Xero, GoCardless, and Stripe or similar\n\nHow we help you Thrive Here\nWe want you to do your best work and we’ll support you to do just that with:\nGenerous paid leave: Start with 22 days' annual leave, plus 3 company days over Christmas.
