Do you enjoy working with advanced manufacturing technologies, precision aerospace components, and continuous process improvement?\nIf so, ITDE is looking for a talented CNC Lathe Programmer Lead to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona.\nIn this high-impact leadership role, you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing complex CNC programs for precision-machined components while mentoring programmers, collaborating with manufacturing teams, and driving machining efficiencies through the latest CAM, CNC, and tooling technologies.\nIf you're passionate about precision manufacturing and enjoy leading by example, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs our CNC Lathe Programmer Lead, you will:\nProgramming & Process Development\nDevelop complex CNC programs for precision components manufactured on a variety of CNC lathes\nUtilize advanced CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred) to maximize machining efficiency and high-speed material removal strategies\nAnalyze engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, tolerances, and design data to create accurate and efficient machining programs\nConvert Mazatrol programs to EIA format as needed\nGenerate machine programs and implement probing routines, special instructions, and process-monitoring features\nDevelop and maintain detailed setup sheets, tooling documentation, and machining instructions\nLeadership & Continuous Improvement\nLead and support the Lathe Programming Team while collaborating closely with mill programmers, machinists, and manufacturing personnel\nOversee training initiatives and documentation standards for CNC programming processes\nImplement and maintain Best Known Methods (BKM) for programming and machining operations\nReview existing programs and setups to identify opportunities for cycle-time reduction and process improvements\nEvaluate emerging technologies and assist with implementation of new manufacturing solutions\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and teamwork\nProduction Support\nCollaborate with setup technicians and machine operators during machine setup and program prove-outs\nProvide technical support to ensure successful first article inspections and production launches\nRevise and optimize programs to eliminate errors, improve efficiency, and enhance repeatability\nCreate fixture concepts and detailed manufacturing documentation for repeat production work\nReview manufacturing processes to ensure maximum productivity, quality, and consistency\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nPrevious experience programming complex precision-machined components\nStrong CNC Lathe Programming experience in a manufacturing environment\nProficiency with CAM software (GibbsCAM preferred)\nExperience creating advanced CNC programs utilizing high-speed machining strategies\nThorough understanding of probing systems and automated process monitoring\nExperience with Renishaw probing systems\nAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)\nWorking knowledge of CAD/CAM software systems\nMust live in the Tucson, AZ area or anywhere else in the USA but wiling to relocate\nPreferred Qualifications\nCNC Mill Programming experience\nAerospace manufacturing experience\nLeadership or mentoring experience within a programming or machining department\nStrong understanding of process optimization, tooling strategies, and lean manufacturing principles\nWhy Join ITDE?\nCompensation\n$75,000 - $95,000 annually DOE\nOvertime opportunities available\nPerformance-based reviews and bonus potential\nPossible relocation assistance\nOutstanding Benefits Package\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nLife Insurance\nDisability Insurance\n401(k) Retirement Plan\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nPaid Holidays\nBuild a Long-Term Career With Us\nAt ITDE, we're committed to investing in our people just as much as we invest in technology.
