This role manages, trains, mentors, and verifies the quality of work performed by assigned Control Technicians, including both new hires and current team members. The Critical Systems Supervisor coordinates closely with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion, proper resource allocation and scheduling support clear communication, accurate documentation, and strong technical execution.\nThis position also provides technical support, supports performance reviews, hiring, participates in project meetings and closeout activities, and helps ensure field staff have the knowledge, tools, and direction needed to complete assigned work successfully.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Planning and Scheduling\nCollaborate with the Project Manager team to maximize project execution by coordinating needed resources and task assignments.\nParticipate in bi-monthly meetings with Project Managers and Field Operations Managers to collaborate on assigning resources for all projects.\nMaintain continuous communication with Control Technicians, Project Managers, customers, and other trades to ensure a consistent understanding of the project schedule.\nTechnical Competencies\nBe or become proficient in all necessary DDC or PLC programming and commissioning requirements for assigned projects.\nContinue to provide onsite technical assistance when needed.\nFundamental technical understanding of data center / mission critical Mechanical and Electrical equipment functionality, system topologies and sequence of operation to assist in system startup, checkout, commissioning integration and programming functionality.\nAbility to read, comprehend and explain BMS and EPMS controls shop drawings and wiring schematics and provide feedback on drawing quality.\nIdentify and troubleshoot controls system devices including controllers, sensors, control valves, control panels devices, third party control integration devices, and network settings.\nTroubleshoot OT and IT network issues and devices as they pertain to control system functionality.\nCommunication and Documentation\nProvide necessary documentation and communication to all customer levels, subcontractors when necessary, and Divcon management.\nEnsure proper productivity from site visits and daily logs.\nFollow up on daily log collection for assigned Control Technicians and ensure timely delivery to Project Coordinators and Project Managers.\nLead, document, and participate in yearly and semi-yearly performance reviews for all direct employees.\nCreate, track and manage QA/QC and Commissioning Startup Documentation for critical assets and system control panels.\nLeadership and Team Supervision\nSupport and assist developing a standard mentoring plan and continuously train new and current Control Technicians.\nConduct weekly check-ins with each team member\nParticipate in peer reviews, turnover meetings, post-mortem meetings, and closeout meetings as require\nParticipate in and conduct interviews with potential candidates.\nQualifications:\nGood understanding of systems software to read, test, and make changes to logic as needed. \nAbility to create, download, and troubleshoot basic HVAC system logic using EnteliWEB and associated software. \nCommunicate issues with the Project Manager on a timely basis. \nGood working knowledge of all EnteliWEB software functions and utilities. \nBasic knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology, layout, and troubleshooting. \nAbility to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. \nAbility to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints. \nExpert knowledge of control sequences for the operation and control of mechanical equipment. \nBackground in mechanical and HVAC system operation and design is a plus. \nAbility to travel in excess of 50% of the typical workweek, including air travel, overnight hotel stays, unexpected travel, and participation in a rotating on-call schedule. \nExperience\nHigh School Diploma, Associate Degree, or Technical School training in the HVAC industry with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the HVAC controls industry. \nExperience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines. \nPossess and maintain a valid and current driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier. \nField experience and an understanding of the installation and operation of Divcon Controls, with the ability to understand and navigate third-party control systems and
