This includes power feed calculations, 480 volt power schematics, 120 volt control schematics, I/O drawings, field device layouts, PLC layout/design, panel layout/design, panel commissioning and checkout.\nTasks:\nConfer with sales engineers, project managers, customers, and others to discuss and understand project specifications, scope and design requirements.\nPrepare detailed drawing sets consisting of power feed calculations, 480 volt power schematics, 120 volt control schematics, I/O drawings, field device layouts, PLC layout/design, panel layout/design, and other drawings required to implement the project scope as per and ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.\nPrepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.\nOperate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.\nInspect, audit and test completed motor control panels for overall sound construction and compliance with all design standards and specifications.\nSkills:\nActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.\nTroubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.\nCritical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.\nReading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.\nTechnology Design - Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.\nComplex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.\nSound and effiecient design abilities.\nAttributes:\nDeductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.\nProblem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
