As part of a broader digital strategy, the organization has developed an integrated family of machine-based information technology products that interconnect mining equipment and provide real-time guidance, tracking, monitoring, and supervisory control of operational mining fleets. These products link with other mining and business information systems as part of a larger technology-enabled solutions vision.\nThe DevOps Engineer will join a 10-person operations team and own the design and implementation of automation that improves reliability, scalability, security, and delivery speed across the full software development lifecycle. Working with limited supervision, this engineer will collaborate daily with global teams in Brisbane, Australia and India.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement end-to-end automation solutions across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure lifecycles.\nBuild, maintain, and support robust CI/CD pipelines, proactively removing delivery bottlenecks and improving deployment reliability.\nPartner with Agile delivery teams to define automation strategy, identify systemic inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement.\nWork with developers and quality engineers to standardize pipelines, environments, and workflows, reducing manual effort and operational risk.\nEstablish and maintain automation standards, best practices, and reusable templates across teams.\nOwn complex automation and deployment issues, performing root cause analysis and driving long-term corrective solutions.\nCoordinate across multiple Agile teams to identify, manage, and resolve technical dependencies affecting delivery and operations.\nAlign with enterprise and external teams to ensure solutions meet corporate architecture, security, and compliance standards.\nDocument automation designs, operational procedures, and runbooks in Confluence, and plan and track work in Azure DevOps.\nMentor junior engineers and peers, raising overall automation maturity within the organization.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree required and 5+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering roles with demonstrated ownership of complex systems. OR\nMaster's degree with 3 years of experience.
