If you're looking to grow your career within an extremely reputable, stable Fortune 100 company - let's talk!\n Position Overview\nThe Drivetrain Development & Test Engineer drives development, testing, data reduction, and engineering recommendations for transmission and axle components supporting new product introduction (NPI) and continuous product improvement (CPI) projects. This is an onsite role suited to an early-career engineer who enjoys hands-on hardware work as much as data analysis.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport test execution, inspection, and analysis, and deliver engineering conclusions and recommendations based on results\nPerform pre- and post-test evaluation of hardware\nVerify instrumentation and data collection at test start and throughout testing\nSupport project and test planning and budgeting with internal and external clients\nDevelop new and improved test methods, analysis standards, and safe job procedures, adapting testing based on findings\nSupport ISO 17025 requirements for lab instrumentation and equipment\nPartner with design and analytics engineers around the globe to build test plans and process test data\n Team & Work Environment\nLocal team of design, analysis, analytics, and test/development engineers supporting global projects alongside design and development engineers and internal and third-party test labs worldwide\nBased at a technical center dedicated to drivetrain development and testing, with time split roughly 50/50 between office and shop floor\nOccasional local travel to production and proving ground facilities and in support of design and procurement projects\nPPE required (e.g., safety boots, glasses, etc.)\nRequirements\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical engineering discipline required \n0-2 years of experience; internships count toward experience\nRelevant backgrounds include test, development, controls development, project, or design engineering\nRequired Technical Skills\nHands-on inspection of hardware and instrumentation to diagnose challenging component failure modes and confirm instrumentation is functioning properly\nStrong application of engineering fundamentals to problem-solving\nProficiency with measurement instruments, including micrometers and surface profilometers\nSetup of data acquisition systems and data recording\nData reduction and analysis\nTechnical report writing, including concise summaries\nEfficient research of historical lessons learned to identify trends and comparisons\nPreferred Technical Skills\nAdvanced data reduction, including digital filtering, plotting, and engineering analysis\nRequired Soft Skills\nSelf-starter who works independently, proactively identifies project and test needs, and owns execution and reporting\nProficient communicator and collaborative team member\nComfortable reaching clients by email, text, phone, and other methods\nPersistent in following up with internal and external team members to keep projects moving efficiently\nPreferred Soft Skills\nTeam builder who strengthens collaboration across the group\n\nBenefits\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nVision Insurance\nDisability insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nPaid Holidays\nPlease follow the link to our website for a list of job openings in Engineering, IT, Project Management, and more!
