As a key member of a cross-functional manufacturing team, this engineer uses data, structured problem solving, and quality tools to improve process capability and product quality.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProblem Solving & Corrective Action\nLead and support investigations into quality issues, including scrap, rework, and customer complaints\nDevelop and implement corrective and preventive actions using quality tools such as 8D, fishbone diagrams, and FMEA\nProcess Monitoring & Continuous Improvement\nUse data and risk analysis to prioritize and direct improvement actions\nPartner with manufacturing engineers and operations to improve process capability and reduce variation\nData Analysis & Reporting\nAnalyze quality data, including defect rates, process capability, and SPC charts\nTrack KPIs such as First Pass Yield and internal and external PPM\nPrepare reports for management and cross-functional teams\nTraining & Support\nTrain operators on quality standards and inspection techniques\nProvide quality expertise to cross-functional teams\n\n Team Structure & Collaboration\nQuality Engineers work as peers under Quality Managers\nAssigned to a specific cost center as a member of its Small Business Team (SBT), a cross-functional team responsible for addressing issues and maintaining operations\nDaily interaction with operators, team leads, and section managers in the assigned area, plus start-of-shift touchpoints with peers and management\nRegularly scheduled meetings, along with cross-functional meetings to resolve issues as they arise\n\nWork Environment\nUnion manufacturing environment; PPE required, including ear protection, eye protection, and safety-toe shoes\nDesk/cubicle office space with conference calls and meetings\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience OR\nMaster's degree with 3+ years of experience\nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills\nData-driven decision-making ability\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both professional and production staff\nStrong attention to detail\nAdaptability to changing conditions\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of quality standards\nRisk management experience\nConflict resolution skills\nLeadership and the ability to influence others\nBenefits\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nVision Insurance\nDisability insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nPaid Holidays\nPlease follow the link to our website for a list of job openings in Engineering, IT, Project Management, and more!
