The role ensures inventory balances, cost structures, and manufacturing transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies while maintaining strong internal controls over inventory and cost accounting processes.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe duties listed below are intended only as examples of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.\nPrimary responsibilities include:\nInventory Accounting & Month-End Close\nPrepare and record monthly and quarterly inventory-related journal entries.\nReconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger.\nPerform inventory absorption, capitalization, scrap reserve, and inventory reserve calculations including E&O.\nComplete month-end inventory reporting packages and supporting schedules. \nCost Accounting\nMaintain standard costs and bill-of-material (BOM) structures.\nExecute annual standard cost rollups and cost updates.\nAnalyze purchase price variances (PPV), inventory variances, and manufacturing cost drivers.\nProcess inventory cost changes and inventory adjustments within Oracle ERP. \nInventory Reconciliations & Controls\nReconcile third-party logistics (3PL) and warehouse inventory locations across multiple regions.\nPerform inventory account reconciliations in ARCS (ORACLE).\nMaintain inventory control procedures and ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements.\nIntercompany & Transfer Pricing\nRecord monthly Mexico transfer pricing entries.\nPrepare intercompany markup eliminations and inventory profit eliminations.\nReconcile intercompany inventory balances and inventory-related transactions.\nManufacturing & Supply Chain Accounting\nAccount for freight and duty capitalization along with freight accrual.\nRecord inventory capitalization and absorption entries.\nAnalyze manufacturing variances and inventory-related reserves.\nSupport inventory movements between manufacturing, distribution, and third-party warehouse locations.\nPhysical Inventory Management\nCoordinate annual physical inventory counts across Americas locations and Investigate inventory count variances and recommend corrective actions\nSupervisory Responsibilities - List Teams/Groups\nNone\nQualifications - Knowledge & Experience\n5+ years of inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting experience.\nStrong understanding of inventory costing methodologies, standard costing, and inventory controls.\nExperience with Oracle ERP, ARCS, FCCS, or comparable enterprise systems.\nAdvanced Excel and financial analysis skills.\nKnowledge of U.S. GAAP inventory accounting and internal controls.\nExperience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or supply-chain environments preferred.\nEducation, Licenses & Certification\nUndergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Costing or equivalent work experience\nWork Conditions\n4 days in office, optional Flex Fridays\nPhysically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.\nSitting for extended periods of time;
