Interns enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment throughout this 11-week summer program. The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.As a summer intern with Elizabethtown Gas, your role as an Engineering Intern will include assisting Design Engineers by working on various projects and initiatives to help the organization continue to grow while gaining valuable hands-on experience.\nEssential Functions:\nCollect, research and interpret existing facility records as part of the design process.\nPerform design of various types of natural gas distribution projects.\nCreate construction plans using AutoCAD.\nField/site visits to construction projects.\nOrganize documents and analyze data.\nPerform other special projects and assignments as required.\nQualifications\nRequired Background:\nCompletion of at least 2 years of coursework toward earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred).\nKnowledge of PC-based applications.\nBasic knowledge of AutoCAD or other computer assisted design software.\nExcellent communication and analytical skills required.\nExplore the Possibilities\nSouth Jersey Industries employs a diverse range of talent - from construction contractors to environmental specialists.
