The position is salaried and includes eligibility for overtime pay.\nAs a Project Manager at Matrix Technologies, you will lead complex industrial engineering, automation, and EPC projects from planning through completion. Working with multidisciplinary teams that may include process, mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, civil, structural, and architectural professionals, you will play a critical role in delivering successful projects while driving profitability, schedule performance, clear communication, and client satisfaction.\nThis role manages large multidisciplinary projects, major single-discipline projects, systems integration projects, and both EPC and services-only engagements. You will build strong client relationships, guide project teams, and help position Matrix for repeat business. If you enjoy leading teams, solving complex challenges, and making a direct impact on project success, we encourage you to apply.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON\nProject Managers at Matrix may lead a variety of industrial projects, including:\nFacility expansions and modernization projects \nManufacturing process improvements \nAutomation and controls implementations \nCapital equipment installations \nEngineering design and construction projects \nEPC and multidisciplinary engineering programs \nYou will partner with engineering, design, construction, procurement, accounting, subcontractor, and client teams to deliver projects that improve clients' operations and facilities.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, communication, client relationships, and overall execution while leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting business growth.\nImplement proposal procedures, project execution plans, and action plans. \nReview resource requirements and assignments with appropriate department managers. \nDevelop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics. \nLead scope management, change control, risk assessment, and mitigation activities. \nDevelop and nurture professional relationships with clients and project teams. \nLead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, design, systems integration, and construction activities. \nInitiate, document, and facilitate communication with clients, project teams, and stakeholders. \nEnsure contractual requirements are understood and satisfied. \nMaintain records of purchased materials, subcontracts, project decisions, and contractual documentation. \nIssue and administer subcontracts and associated documentation. \nManage oversight of construction activities for EPC projects. \nCoordinate billing, procurement, and other commercial activities with the accounting department, and assist with accounts receivable collections when needed. \nRecommend changes to standard operating procedures in support of continuous improvement and share project management expertise to enhance overall performance. \nStrengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and future business. \nProvide resource managers with timely, job-related feedback regarding personnel assigned to project teams, including development needs and areas requiring support. \nRepresent Matrix Technologies in professional organizations and societies related to project management and engineering. \nWHAT MAKES SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?\nThrives in fast-paced industrial environments. \nEffectively balances scope, budget, schedule, quality, profitability, and client expectations. \nBuilds strong relationships with clients and project teams. \nCommunicates clearly and consistently with stakeholders at all levels. \nTakes ownership of project outcomes while supporting team success. \nProactively identifies risks and solves problems before they affect project performance. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture. \nFour or more years of project management experience. \nSeven or more years of engineering experience. \nStrong communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills. \nAbility to travel approximately 25% to 50% locally and 10% to 20% overnight. \nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. \nExperience in industrial manufacturing environments. \nExperience with multidisciplinary engineering and EPC projects. \nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. \nExperience with project controls, procurement, subcontract administration, and construction execution. \nIf you meet the required qualifications but not every preferred qualification, we still encourage you to apply.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear. \nThe employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. \nSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. \nThis employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs. \nThis employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to a wide range of known food allergens. \nWHY MATRIX?\nAt Matrix Technologies, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding career while sharing in the success you help create.
