The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.A career in Treasury at South Jersey Industries will provide the opportunity to encompass all treasury activities including cash and banking, capital and liquidity planning, standardization of policies and processes and new treasury solutions. Treasury team members are responsible for collaborating with the CFO, Treasurer, and other team members to oversee SJI’s financial resources and structural balance sheet positioning. As part of the comprehensive internship program, interns will participate in events which help them build a strong network within the SJI community and with fellow interns. Interns enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment throughout this 11-week summer program. The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.\nEssential Functions:\nSupport the development of short-term and medium-term cash forecasts for liquidity planning purposes\nLeverage established methods and technology to assist in preparing reports on the company’s debt portfolio\nAssist in daily cash positioning and execution of borrowings\nPrepare and collaborate on a cross-functional project with the opportunity to present to the SJI Executive Leadership Team\nRegular meetings with assigned mentor and various organizational leaders to discuss goals and professional development\nQualifications\nRequired Background:\nPursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or similar, with a graduation date of Fall 2026 or later\nThe ideal candidate would be a rising Junior, Senior, or Master’s student, however all students are welcome for consideration\nRequired Skills:\nFundamental knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally\nComfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, including extended hours when needed\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nSelf-starter with high energy, motivation, and a desire to contribute innovative ideas\nAvailability to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Folsom, NJ office, Monday through Friday during daytime business hours\nExplore the Possibilities\nSouth Jersey Industries employs a diverse range of talent - from construction contractors to environmental specialists.
