In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision parts. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do:\nSet up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines to ensure smooth, continuous production.\nInterpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine precise machine settings and tooling requirements.\nLoad, position, and secure workpieces using holding devices and hoists.\nAdjust machine controls, engage automatic feeding mechanisms, or manually move cutters/materials to mill workpieces to exact specifications.\nChange blocks, pushers, and spindle liners as needed.\nMonitor the manufacturing process in real time, making necessary adjustments to uphold strict quality and productivity standards.\nTear down and set up tooling, barfeeders, and robotic systems, obtain initial Quality Control (QC) first-article approvals, and prepare machines for Level I Operators to run routine production jobs.\nInspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators) to ensure full conformance with specifications.\nFollow work orders and production schedules to guarantee on-time task completion.\nUtilize production control systems (including shop orders and eKanban) to track workflow.\nAccurately document production data, machine settings, tooling changes, and downtime per company protocols.\nPerform routine machine maintenance, servicing equipment with coolant, grease, and lubricants while maintaining proper fluid ratios.\nMaintain equipment to maximize performance and minimize unplanned downtime.\nAdhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.\nPartner with machinists, engineers, and cross-functional team members to optimize machine performance and troubleshoot issues.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent degree required.\nAbility to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications accurately.\nHands-on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.\nStrong mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to make process improvement suggestions.\nFamiliarity with shop order workflows and production tracking systems.\nAbility to stand for long periods; squat, lift, stretch, and bend; lift up to 50 pounds; operate all types of hand, power, and measuring tools; and possess the manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to rapidly adjust machine controls and handle precise objects.\nDedicated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, loyal, and a team player motivated by goal completion, growth opportunities, job security, peer recognition, and self-starting initiatives.\nWhat We Offer:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family\nCompetitive salary\nBonus programs\n401K retirement plan\nTraining opportunities\nTuition reimbursement\nPaid vacation, PTO, and holidays\nGym reimbursements, and more!\nWho We Are: The Dixon Group is a global, family-owned manufacturing company with a history of over 100 years of operation in the U.S.A.
