In this role, you'll work closely with Manufacturing, Machining, and Engineering to support daily production needs, manage incoming projects, and drive continuous improvement across our operations. You'll take ownership of manufacturing projects from identifying opportunities through implementation, working with production teams and Product Engineering to improve processes, develop tooling and fixturing, and make sure designs can be manufactured efficiently. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do:\nWork closely with Production, Machining, and Operations to understand manufacturing challenges, troubleshoot issues, and provide engineering support on the production floor.\nCoordinate incoming manufacturing engineering projects, establish priorities, track progress, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed and implemented.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality, workflow, and cost.\nPartner with Product Engineering to review designs and ensure products can be manufactured efficiently, including appropriate work holding, fixturing, tooling, and production methods.\nEvaluate existing processes, equipment, tooling, and production methods to identify opportunities for improvement and implement practical solutions.\nSupport equipment selection, specifications, vendor coordination, installation, commissioning, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.\nServe as a resource for Manufacturing and Engineering personnel, sharing knowledge, helping resolve technical challenges, and supporting the development of others.\nWork with production teams to implement engineering changes, evaluate results, and ensure improvements are effective and sustainable.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline is required. \n5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience is required. \nHands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment, with regular interaction on the production floor.\nExperience with machining, tooling, fixtures, and workholding.\nProject management or project coordination experience, including the ability to manage timelines, priorities, and follow-through.\nExperience with continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with operators, supervisors, engineers, and leadership.\nPrevious management or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.\nWhat We Offer:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family\nCompetitive salary\nBonus programs\n401K retirement plan\nTraining opportunities\nTuition reimbursement\nPaid vacation, PTO, and holidays\nGym reimbursements, and more!\nWho We Are: The Dixon Group is a global, family-owned manufacturing company with a history of over 100 years of operation in the U.S.A.
