In this role, you will support and improve engineered fluid-transfer components and mechanical hardware used in demanding commercial, aerospace and defense applications.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role that spans the product lifecycle-from requirements and mechanical design through prototyping, manufacturing, assembly and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and suppliers to develop practical, manufacturable solutions and help resolve production challenges. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with physical products throughout the design and manufacturing process. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProduct Design & Development: Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies, create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, apply mechanical design and GD&T principles, support prototyping and testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturable products from concept through production.\n\nManufacturing & Production Support: Maintain product and manufacturing documentation, support production and assembly processes, troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues, establish inspection requirements, and collaborate with production teams to resolve operational challenges.\n\nSupplier & Cross-Functional Support: Partner with suppliers and internal teams to communicate technical requirements, support engineering decisions, and resolve product, manufacturing, and production-related issues.\n\nProduct Improvement & Change Control: Support product and process improvements, manage engineering changes and revision control, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of products.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n\n2-5 years of engineering experience; strong entry-level candidates with relevant internships, co-op experience or hands-on engineering projects will also be considered.\n\nAbility to work directly with manufacturing personnel, suppliers and cross-functional teams.\nPractical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.\nProficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation; strong fundamentals in mechanical design, statics, tolerances and manufacturing methods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMachined, cast, forged, fabricated or assembled products.\nFluid-transfer components or related mechanical hardware.\nAerospace, defense, marine or other demanding applications.\nBOMs, routers or work instructions.\nEngineering change or configuration control.\nGD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.\nSolidWorks PDM or another product data management system.\nAS9100, ISO 9001 or another controlled manufacturing environment.\nWhat We Offer:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family\nCompetitive salary\nBonus programs\n401K retirement plan\nTraining opportunities\nTuition reimbursement\nPaid vacation, PTO, and holidays\nGym reimbursements, and more!\nWho We Are: Hydrasearch is a U.S. manufacturer specializing in fluid-transfer and control systems for maritime, aerospace, and defense applications.
