This is a high visibility role for a technical problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDevelop, implement, and maintain quality standards for the Boss Division to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and adherence specifications.\nLead cross-functional investigations into internal and external non-conformances.\nUtilize 5-Why, Fishbone, or 8D methodologies to identify the \"source\" of failures and implement permanent corrective actions.\nManage improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing variances.\nMonitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nAuthor and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standard work documents within the Quality Document Control System to ensure manufacturing consistency.\nConduct internal audits of work procedures to ensure compliance.\nCommunicate technical non-conformances to suppliers and internal production teams, following up to verify that process adjustments are effective.\nInspect and approve incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against engineering drawings and specifications.\nCommunicate nonconformances to affected parties and lead the initiative for corrections.\nIssue Corrective Actions where appropriate. \nManage containment efforts where needed for non-conforming products.\nManage all production gauges; recommending gauges for new parts and keeping existing gauges calibrated.\nServe as a technical subject matter expert, educating and training floor personnel on quality best practices, blueprint reading, and measurement techniques.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science required. Greenbelt certification, ASQ Certified.\n2-3 years of experience in a quality, inspection, engineering or manufacturing role.\nQuality Engineer (CQE) or Inspector (CQI) preferred.\nExperience with quality and measurement systems is required.\nKnowledge of quality systems and procedures.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.\nStatistical Process Control (SPC): Experience using tools like Minitab or Excel to analyze process capability.\nProficiency in 5-Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), or 8D methodologies.\nStrong working knowledge of mechanical measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and thread gauges.\nFamiliarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and industry specifications such as ANSI, ASTM, API and 3A.\nDetail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills.\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive pay with shift premium\nBonus and incentive programs\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family\n401K retirement plan\nTuition reimbursement and training opportunities\nPaid vacation, holidays, and PTO\nGym reimbursements, and more!\nWho We Are: The Dixon Group is a global, family-owned manufacturing company with a history of over 100 years of operation in the U.S.A.
