This role is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of engineered fluid-transfer components and mechanical hardware used in demanding commercial, aerospace, and defense applications. As a hands-on individual contributor, you will lead products through the full lifecycle, from requirements and design through validation, production, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, customers, and suppliers to solve complex engineering challenges, drive technical decisions, and deliver practical, manufacturable solutions. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.\nWhat You'll Do:\nLead complex product development and engineering projects from requirements through validation, production release and lifecycle support. Apply engineering judgment to make technical decisions and develop practical, manufacturable solutions.\nDesign and improve mechanical components and assemblies, create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, apply mechanical design and GD&T principles, support prototyping and testing, and lead design activities from concept through production.\nWork closely with Manufacturing, Quality and production teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues, resolve product and process challenges, support corrective actions, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.\nLead efforts to improve product quality, reliability, manufacturability, cost and production efficiency. Analyze field, quality and production information to identify improvement opportunities and manage engineering changes and configuration control.\nPartner with suppliers and internal teams to communicate technical requirements, resolve technical issues, support engineering decisions and maintain effective product lifecycle management.\nProvide technical guidance to engineers and drafters, support design reviews, share engineering knowledge and promote sound engineering judgment and practical problem solving across the team.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n5+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility in mechanical design, product development or manufacturing engineering.\nDemonstrated experience taking ownership of complex engineering projects from concept through production and lifecycle support.\nAbility to work directly with manufacturing personnel, suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.\nStrong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.\nProficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation; strong fundamentals in mechanical design, statics, tolerances and manufacturing methods.\nAbility to make sound engineering decisions and balance performance, quality, cost, manufacturability and schedule.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with machined, cast, forged, fabricated, and assembled products.\nKnowledge of fluid-transfer components and related mechanical hardware.\nBackground supporting aerospace, defense, marine, or other demanding industrial applications.\nWorking knowledge of bills of material (BOMs), routers, and work instructions.\nInvolvement with engineering change processes and configuration control.\nProficiency in GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.\nFamiliarity with SolidWorks PDM or a comparable product data management system.\nUnderstanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, or other controlled manufacturing environments.\nWhat We Offer:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family\nCompetitive salary\nBonus programs\n401K retirement plan\nTraining opportunities\nTuition reimbursement\nPaid vacation, PTO, and holidays\nGym reimbursements, and more!\nWho We Are: Hydrasearch is a U.S. manufacturer specializing in fluid-transfer and control systems for maritime, aerospace, and defense applications.
