This is most of the job.\n\nSearch existing records to catch duplicates before they are created.\n\nFill in technical fields using a set template. Examples: dimensions, units of measure, part numbers.\n\nFollow existing naming and classification rules.\n\nClean up old records. Deactivate obsolete materials. Merge duplicates. Fix errors.\n\nFlag unusual tickets to the Category Specialist.\n\nCore Tasks\nManage material requests through our ticketing tool. Meet agreed service levels (SLAs).\n\nSupport the Category Specialist and Business Support team.\n\nCreate new materials in the ERP system (e.g., IFS, SAP MM, McMain). Follow naming rules and templates. Make sure all fields are complete before approval.\n\nCheck for duplicate materials before creating new ones. Keep descriptions consistent across sites and business units.\n\nRun regular data cleanup. Deactivate old materials. Fix inconsistencies. Merge duplicates.\n\nTrack basic data quality numbers (completeness, accuracy, duplicates) using provided tools. Report issues to the Category Specialist.\n\nSkills & Knowledge\nStrong attention to detail\n\nComfortable with high-volume, repetitive work\n\nAble to read and follow technical specifications\n\nBasic Excel skills.
