We work hard at creating a positive workplace where you can be heard, where you can grow, and where you can make a difference!\nAvailable Shift\n3rd Shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (training may be during first or third shift)\nThis is a five-day, 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime as business needs require, plus a shift premium.\nThis position is expected to begin in January 2027.\nResponsibilities/Tasks\nFollow all safety procedures at all times, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.\nFollow standard work; retrieve and load materials; and prep jobs for converting.\nOperate production equipment for one or more processes, including printing, laminating, cutting, end sheet fabrication, perfect binding, case making, casing binding, and associated support equipment.\nCommunicate orally or in writing about process changes and equipment failures.\nMonitor the quality of the product and report all variations to the manager.\nParticipate in Lean and Continuous improvement events and initiatives.\nWork in a manner that is in alignment with DIY’s values.\nRequirements\nEducational and Experience Requirements\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. \nAt least 1 year of machine operation experience.\nPrior experience with book manufacturing equipment, such as print binding or finishing, is preferred.\nSpecial Skills Required\nLanguage - Must be able to take direction and communicate in Basic English as well as read and understand written documents.\nMath - Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
