In this role, you will become part of the implementation of a new customer at our brand-new location in Echt. Together with your team, you will help establish and optimize customs processes from the ground up while ensuring that import, export and transit activities comply with all applicable customs legislation.\nYou will work in a dynamic supply chain environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are key. As one of the first Customs Declarants on site, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the customs operation for a new customer and contribute to one of the most modern logistics campuses in Europe.\nYOUR TASKS\nAs a Customs Declarant, you are responsible for ensuring smooth customs operations and maintaining compliance with international customs regulations.\nPrepare, process and verify import, export and transit customs declarations;\nMonitor customs processes and ensure all documentation complies with current customs legislation;\nCollect and validate data required for customs declarations;\nIdentify discrepancies and coordinate solutions with internal and external stakeholders;\nSupport customs inspections, physical checks and audits;\nMaintain contact with customs authorities, carriers, customers and internal departments;\nContribute to the continuous improvement of customs processes within the operation.\nYOUR PROFILE\nWe are looking for an accurate and proactive professional who enjoys working in an international logistics environment.\nMBO+ or HBO working and thinking level;\nA recognized customs qualification is considered an advantage;\nExperience in customs or international logistics is a plus;\nGood knowledge of MS Office;\nAffinity with logistics processes and administrative work;\nGood command of the English language;\nFlexible to work in shifts, with the earliest start at 06:30 and the latest finish at 21:30 on weekdays.\nPlease note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU\nAt Arvato, you'll have the opportunity to build your career in an international logistics environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
