This is a fast-paced and dynamic team whose clientele includes film/tv studios, ad agencies, networks, production companies, video game developers, trailer houses, merch companies, law firms, music clearance houses, live stage theatrical production companies and more. As a member of the Licensing Administration team, you would be responsible for various admin tasks involved in the successful preparation, issuance and closure of the sync licensing and payment process.\nIn this temporary role, you’ll be responsible for assisting and facilitating the successful preparation, issuance and closure of the sync licensing and payment process, which may involve administrative tasks as assigned including but not limited to sync data maintenance and clearance admin support, license/invoice issuance, sync collections and income tracking recovery, execution of agreements, and other department duties as appropriate.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nEnsure the accuracy of confirmed sync license data in department system(s) and preparation of license entries for issuance in a timely fashion, ensuring all data is in line from quote to confirm/license request.\nReceivables/Collections - Diligent in following up on synch license fee payments. Handling any additional vendor forms/POs in order to receive payments. Documenting all accordingly and moving process forward to other departments if necessary.\nExecuting licenses - Obtaining fully-executed licenses to wrap up the entry, bringing the process to closure, making sure all documentation is clearly accessible to all that view the entry in BMG systems.\nAdditional tasks as appropriate, including but not limited to: sync accounts receivable matters (e.g., synch income tracking and recovery, 3rd party collections, vendor forms, invoicee/vendor creation, special handling communication, assisting in report preparation, etc.), clearance admin support for projects, productions and/or audits, pitch procurement logging, inbound sync request delegation.\nLicense handling via weekly licensing assignments.\nFoster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and professional development.\nEffectively issue licenses/amendments/addendums and invoices, making sure all info is in line from quote to confirm/license request. \nRespond to Licensees’ revision requests in a timely, thorough, and effective manner.\nAssist in appropriately adding/editing \"canned response\" list for issuers to utilize addressing concerns/issue accordingly while following legal and template guidelines, in a timely manner.\nLiaise with BMG's Business & Legal Affairs department and Direct Lead to establish/revise acceptable template language in the evolving sync market.\nDiligently follow up on sync license fee payments, including handling any additional vendor forms/POs to receive payments, documenting all accordingly and moving process forward to other departments if necessary.\nDirectly liaise with Finance team and income tracking on past due receivables, items for collections, and thorough note taking for entire process.\nObtaining fully executed license agreements and bring process to closure, making sure documentation is clearly accessible to all who review the entry.\nReport upward current trends, industry happenings, sync highlights, initiatives and innovations, financial progress and state of the union to Direct Lead.\nCross-collaboration with Clearance/Negotiation team to ensure long-form agreement language and grant of rights are in line with quoted/approved language at Clearance stage.\nKnowledge and experience in synchronization licensing field including advanced knowledge of local sync market and standard practices.\nKnowledgeable and experienced with the license issuance process, including complex legal language, and ability to negotiate/respond appropriately and efficiently to license revision requests.\nGeneral knowledge of copyright laws and/or local societies.\nExisting network/relationships with local sync clients.\nGreat communication skills and ability to manage key information upward, downward and outward.\nAbility to navigate challenging situations with high-level key clientele.\nHighly organized and adept at Microsoft Office suite.\nGood attention to detail and solution oriented.\nWhat Would Be A Plus\nStrong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; high emotional intelligence.\nSome analytical and financial acumen, capable of analyzing data and making data-driven decisions.\nAn interest in music, of course!\nBenefits\nEnjoy flexibility with our hybrid setup: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.\nUnlock your potential with development opportunities, including mentorship programs, LinkedIn Learning and educational reimbursements.\nBe inspired by our talented artists at our showcases and playbacks.\nPay Range\n$33.37 per hour\nThe pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs.
