In this role, you will lead cloud migration initiatives, drive database optimization, and play a pivotal part in advancing DKSH's digital transformation across on-premises and Azure cloud platforms.\nWhat You Will Deliver\nLead the implementation and ongoing management of enterprise databases as the key service owner, ensuring consistent and reliable database operations across the organization.\nPlan and execute database lifecycle activities, including upgrades, service pack installations, and patch management, to enable seamless migration of data and applications to new database versions.\nImplement and maintain database security measures to ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry-specific security standards.\nProactively monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot database-related incidents, delivering timely resolutions that minimize downtime and business disruption.\nDevelop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery readiness.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database inventory and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generate reports covering performance metrics, capacity planning, cost control, and growth projections.\nPlan and execute cloud migration strategies for on-premises Microsoft SQL Server databases to Azure SQL, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations, while managing and optimizing Azure SQL databases using cloud-native features and scalability.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to provide database-related support and guidance, and actively share best practices and technical knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning.\nWhat You Bring\nProfessional degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n2-4 years of relevant working experience in Database Administration.\nExpertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL.\nStrong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and security implementation.\nProven experience in troubleshooting complex database issues and executing cloud migration projects.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.\nKnowledge of different types of Database Management Systems (DBMS) is an advantage.\nRelevant certifications in Microsoft SQL Server administration and Azure are desirable.\nWhy Join DKSH\nAt DKSH, we help companies grow in Asia and enable people to perform at their best.
