About The Role

The Senior Manager/Manager, Business Development is a key growth driver within DKSH's Healthcare (HEC) Business Unit, responsible for identifying, developing, and converting high-value business opportunities that expand market share and generate sustainable revenue. This role combines strategic thinking with commercial execution to deliver value-added solutions and build lasting client partnerships across Malaysia.

What You Will Deliver

• Execute Group-, Business Unit-, regional-, country-, channel-, and product-level expansion strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage business opportunities and leads to build a strong, well-qualified sales pipeline aligned with financial goals.
• Lead market research, feasibility studies, and market scans, translating findings into decision-ready insights that support strategic business choices.
• Drive commercial negotiations, prepare contracts, and provide input on pricing and commercial terms, including contract renegotiations with existing clients.Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders to maximize revenue potential.
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with prospective clients and customers, creating a strong foundation for continued business growth.
• Strengthen Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to improve overall effectiveness and eliminate duplication.
• Coordinate the delivery of team and functional goals to ensure consistent execution against agreed business objectives.
• Support the development of Business Development capabilities within the team to elevate functional performance.

What You Bring

• Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum five to eight years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a background in sales, marketing, or business development.
• Minimum two years of experience in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated industry knowledge and a strong understanding of client businesses and market dynamics.
• Strong analytical, commercial assessment, and business analysis capabilities to evaluate opportunities and drive informed decisions.
• Excellent client and customer relationship management skills, with a proven ability to grow and retain key accounts.
• Proven ability to manage local and global assignments and projects effectively.
• Strong deal-making capability with a target-driven, results-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
