This person will interact closely with ICT group technical staff to support project management, design and drafting efforts.\nThe ICT Engineer III will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. Will assist project leadership on automation projects of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision.\nThis person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nContribute to ICT Engineering Design Activities (95%)\nPerform Information Communication Technology (ICT) design tasks for structured cabling, security, and A/V systems\nPerform computation analysis and design tasks for complex projects, components and systems\nDevelop scalable fiber optic and copper plant design with minimal supervision\nDetermine physical layer route and utilization with minimal supervision\nUtilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids\nReview and / or prepare book or sheet specifications\nTimely and effective management of project design team including resource forecasting and coordination\nIdentify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines\nPerform QAQC peer reviews for projects where he or she is not the lead design engineer\nSurvey existing building conditions and prepares technical reports of findings\nCollect data and other information for construction documents\nPrepare project design, specification and construction documents\nAdministrative (5%)\nReview and distribute daily reporting\nAccountable for project contract administration\nManage personal and project hours using company tools\nCreate / complete departmental reports\nTechnology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Efficiency\nLeverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality work output.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes and demonstrate a continuous learning mindset, seeking out new technologies, skills, and methods that elevate individual and team performance.\nAdapt to emerging technologies and evolving digital workflows, actively supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools across the organization.\nCompletion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget\nPerforms Other Related Duties as Assigned\nRequirements\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)\nKnowledge of fiber optic component, cabling and interconnect products\nKnowledge in ICT structured cabling design technologies and standards\nKnowledge in Audio Visual (AV), Access Control and CCTV designs and standards\nSkilled at using Revit\nSkilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management\nSkilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail\nAbility to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation\nAbility to follow company and site safety requirements\nAbility to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence\nAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)\nAbility to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact\nAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision\nAbility to work under pressure and meet close deadlines\nOrganizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nAbility to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace\nAbility to work in interdepartmental groups in multi-role efforts\nAbility to identify and analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions\nAbility to effectively plan and delegate the work of others\nAbility to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
