In many instances we out-compete those ranges for well-qualified candidates.\nJob Summary\nPositions are available in our Mission CriticalDepartment,which focuses primarily on hyperscale data centers and related mission critical facilities.\nTheLeadElectrical Engineer, Datacenterwill have the opportunity to collaborate with all design staff and oversee full cycle electrical design activities. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents,developand edit projectspecificationsand lead the construction administration process.\nTheLeadElectrical Engineer, Datacenter will be self-directed on day-to-day work and receive high level instruction on new projects or assignments. Will execute and lead design teams and design projects of complex scope. May coordinate activities of other personnel.\nTheLeadElectrical Engineer, Datacenterwill communicate andoperatein line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmentalobjectives.\nEssential Functions\nLead Electrical Engineering Design Activities (50%)\nIndependently perform intermediate to advanced engineering work \nLead the design of resilient electrical infrastructure for mission critical facilities, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, equipment layouts, and electrical system architecture from conceptual design through construction.\nDesign electrical systems supporting high availability and continuous operationutilizingredundant power topologies \nDevelop electrical designs incorporating generators, UPS systems, automatic and static transfer switches,parallelingswitchgear, PDUs, and associated critical power infrastructure.\nUtilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids\nReview and / or prepare book or sheet specifications for electrical systems\nAssistin proposal development including project scope,scheduleand budget \nTimely and effective management of project design team including resource forecasting and coordination \nIdentifypotential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines \nSupport contact for design clients and builds effective, long-term client relationships\nMay direct interns / other engineering and technical staff\nLead Pre-Construction Activities (15%)\nSurvey existing building conditions and prepares technical reports of findings\nCollect data and other information for construction documents\nPrepare project design and construction documents \nLead Construction Activities (25%)\nMay lead or work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team\nReview shop drawings and submittals \nReview and respond to RFIs\nReview and complete punch lists and project closeout documents\nReporting (10%)\nPrepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders \nUpdate andmaintainshop drawing andRFIlog\nManage personal hours using company tools\nTechnology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Efficiency\nIdentifyopportunities and lead the strategic use of technology, digital platforms, and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency through workflow automation, reduced manual effort, and improved accuracy in forecasting, documentation, reporting, and quality processes.\nSupport adoption of emerging technologies - including advanced analytics, data visualization tools, and digital construction management platforms - to strengthen readiness, quality assurance, and project controls.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure technology solutions align with DLB standards for data security, privacy, and operational integrity.\nPromote a culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and the strategic use of technology tooptimizeperformance and scalability.\nCompletion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget\nPerforms Other Related Duties as Assigned\nPosition Requirements (Advanced level for all the following)\nAdvanced knowledge of mission critical electrical infrastructure including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, grounding, lighting, life safety systems, and critical facility electrical design.\nKnowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes\nKnowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing, underground feedercalculationsand lighting calculations\nKnowledge of various electrical topologies and distribution systems\nSkilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit\nSkilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management\nSkilled in performing code analysis including selection of equipment, wiring, etc. to meet code requirements \nSkilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail\nAbility toleverageAI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows,optimizeoperational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.\nAbility to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace\nAbility to follow company and site safety requirements \nAbility to analyze and prepare documents,reportsand correspondence\nAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information) \nAbility to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact \nAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision\nAbility to work under pressure and meet close deadlines \nAbility to effectively plan and delegate the work of others\nOrganizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nPhysical Demands\nThe following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
