We are looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things well, and is keen to contribute to a supportive site team.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking a Coating Technician / Forklift Operator to join our Forbes, NSW operations team. We support the local farming community and take pride in servicing the greater Australian agricultural industry.\nThis is a full-time role working 38 hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required during busy seasonal periods.\nIn this role, you will safely operate a forklift, undertake essential store and yard duties, support repairs and maintenance, and contribute to a clean, tidy and well-organised site.you will operate fixed plant used to coat, treat, mix, clean and grade seed, while helping ensure quality, safety, hygiene and throughput standards are consistently maintained.\nKey responsibilities\nIn this role, you will:\nOperate a forklift safely and efficiently, including stacking pallets and moving product around the site\nSet up, operate and maintain seed processing machinery to meet quality and production requirements\nSupport seed coating, treating, mixing, cleaning and grading activities\nCarry out store, yard and housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy and safe workplace\nHelp prevent cross-contamination between seed lines through strong hygiene and cleaning practices\nUndertake basic plant repairs, preventative maintenance and equipment checks\nCommunicate any quality or throughput issues promptly to the supervisor or manager\nFollow all health, safety, quality, HR and site procedures\nUndertake manual handling tasks, including bagging and stacking up to 25kg bags onto pallets\nAbout you\nYou will be practical, reliable and safety-focused, with a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. You will take pride in keeping equipment and work areas clean and organised, and you will be comfortable working with seasonal demands and physical tasks.\nTo be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:\nCurrent forklift licence or certificate, with extensive practical forklift operating experience.\n\nExperience operating machinery or fixed plant in a production, processing, warehouse, grain, seed or agricultural environment.\n\nMechanical aptitude, including basic equipment checks, cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs.\n\nExperience working to production targets, quality standards and delivery timeframes.\n\nGood understanding of hygiene, cleaning and contamination control requirements.Ability to safely complete manual handling, including bagging and stacking up to 25kg.\n\nAwareness of safety requirements when working around machinery, forklifts, treated seed, chemicals and dust.\n\nWhy join DLF Seeds?\nThis is a great opportunity to join a well-established global agribusiness and be part of a practical, supportive team where safety, quality and continuous improvement are important every day.
