Reporting remotely to the National Operations Manager, this role has full responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient performance of the site.\nYou will lead a team of up to 36 staff across day and night-shift operations. This is a key site leadership role requiring a visible and practical leader who can set clear expectations, develop people and lift performance across safety, quality, service, cost and asset reliability.\nYou will take ownership of the operation, build a capable and accountable team, and put the systems and discipline in place to deliver consistent results.\nKey responsibilities\n\nLead all site operations, production planning and day-to-day performance.\nSet clear expectations and develop a capable, engaged and safety-focused team.\nManage operational budgets, costs and key performance measures.\nDrive strong health, safety, quality and compliance standards.\nManage site assets, maintenance planning and operational reliability.\nPlan workforce needs and lead recruitment, onboarding, training and development.\nWork closely with internal teams and customers to deliver reliable service.\nIdentify and lead practical continuous improvement across the site.\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\nProven leadership experience in plant or site management, manufacturing, production, warehousing, distribution, agriculture or a similar operational environment.\nExperience leading teams and setting clear standards for performance, safety and accountability.\nStrong operational planning, resource management and problem-solving skills.\nSound commercial judgement, including experience managing budgets, costs and performance measures.\nA practical approach to health and safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.\nThe ability to remain calm, adaptable and decisive in a busy operational environment.\nStrong communication, relationship-building, computer and administrative skills.\nSeed processing experience is not essential but would be highly advantageous.
