The team supports and develops the technologies, standards, workflows, and tools that enable our designers to work more effectively and solve increasingly complex challenges.\nOur multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in digital practice, research and development, and client-facing digital services, with capabilities spanning BIM, computational design, reality capture, GIS, automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, digital review, connected BIM, and design visualization.\nPosition Summary\nAs a Software Engineer - Azure DevOps at DLR Group, you will design, deploy, and maintain the cloud platform supporting custom, line-of-business applications used by more than 1,500 architects, interior designers, and engineers. As part of the Design Technology team’s cross-functional Agile environment, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle with a focus on Azure administration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and application health and availability. You will partner closely with software development and IT teams to build secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support the way our teams design and work.\nWhat You Will Do\nProvision, configure, and manage Azure resources supporting custom, line-of-business applications\nDesign and maintain Azure resource structures, naming standards, tagging strategies, and cost management practices\nConfigure secure application authentication and access using Entra ID, single sign-on (SSO), managed identities, and service principals\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Bicep and ARM templates to enable consistent, repeatable cloud deployments\nDesign, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including automated builds, testing, security scanning, and multi-environment deployments\nDevelop reusable GitHub workflows and composite actions and implement secure authentication practices, including OIDC-based federated authentication\nMaintain application observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and incident response\nSupport application resiliency by maintaining and testing backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures\nPartner with IT on infrastructure dependencies, including DNS, certificates, firewall rules, security policies, and other application requirements\nDocument cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and ownership while collaborating across technical teams to continuously improve platform reliability, security, and efficiency\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an additional 5+ years of equivalent professional experience\nHands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure resources and working with subscriptions and cloud cost management tools\nExperience with Entra ID application registrations, SSO, managed identities, and service principals\nExperience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable tools\nExperience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics\nProficiency with SQL and experience working with Azure data services\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively respond to production incidents and application outages\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes and collaborate across teams\nUnderstanding of cloud security best practices, including least-privilege access and secure authentication\nPreferred Qualifications\nMicrosoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification\nMicrosoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification\nGitHub Foundations (GH-900) and/or GitHub Actions (GH-200) certification\nExperience developing reusable GitHub Actions workflows, composite actions, and managing self-hosted runners\nExperience implementing OIDC-based federated authentication between GitHub Actions and Azure\nExperience with cloud cost optimization, governance, and resource management\nExperience supporting backup, restore, disaster recovery, and application resiliency strategies\nInterest or experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies\nFamiliarity with BIM, architecture, engineering, construction, or other design-related industries\nOur comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
