We'researching for an Entry-LevelAudiovisual Systems Designer to join us in one of the following studios: \nCleveland\nLos Angeles\nSeattle\nPosition Summary \nAs an Entry-Level Audiovisual Systems Designer at DLR Group,you will support the design and delivery of innovative audiovisual systems that enhance the built environment. You’llwork closely with senior audiovisual designers and integrated design teams to develop coordinated, high-quality solutions across all project phases. In this role, you’llapply your technical curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail to help translate client goals into effective and sustainable audiovisual designs. \nWhat you will do\nCollaborate with senior audiovisual designers and integrated design teams to develop audiovisual system solutions\nApply DLR Group practice standards, QA/QC procedures, and BIM protocols throughout all project phases\nAssistin developing technical drawings, specifications, and documentation that align with project goals and budgets\nIdentifyand propose solutions to audiovisual design challenges using industry codes, standards, and best practices\nCoordinate design input with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated project delivery\nProvide accurate, high-quality deliverables that meet established schedules and project requirements\nParticipate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas to advance design excellence\nMaintain awareness of project workplans and manage individual deliverables to align with time and budget targets\nCommunicate effectively with team members through timelywritten, verbal, and visual means \nPursue ongoing professional and technical development, sharing knowledge and insights with peers \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree inelectrical engineering, architecture, or field relatedto audio and video equipment use and integration\n2-5years of professional experience in audiovisual systems design or related discipline \nExperience designing audiovisual systems for commercial, education, or civic environments\nAbility to travel as projects require \nUnderstanding of audiovisual system components, signal flow, and design documentation\nProficiencyin Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills\nAVIXA-Recognized AV Technologist(at minimum) \nAbility to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinaryand geographically diverseteam \nCommitment to learning and applying DLR Group’s quality standards and integrated design processes \nMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with audiovisual control systems and related software platforms\nCTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or progress toward certification\nKnowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations affecting AV design\nInterest in sustainable and technology-driven design solutions \nVisa sponsorship is not offered for this position, including temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including OPT and CPT), TN, J, H-1B, or those who need employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nOur comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
