We prioritize technical excellence and cultivate a collaborative environment for independent and team-based work, reflecting our commitment to professional growth and providing forward-thinking solutions to clients. \nResponsibilities\nExecutes mechanical design for multidisciplinary projects ensuring designs are robust, functional, and cost effective \nResearches and reviews COTS and custom system components against project budget and system functional requirements \nWorks effectively under project schedules and budgets \nPartners with customers and cross functional teams to define requirements, develop designs, and support implementation. \nMaintains and promote engineering standards and best practices. \nImproves documentation, drawings, BOM structure, and revision control \nRequirements \nB.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (minimum GPA 3.4) \n3+ years of mechanical design experience \nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics \nExperience designing custom CNC components, sheet metal, weldments, and frames \nAbility to perform engineering calculations for material strength and power transmission \nProficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) \nUp to 25% travel \nITAR Requirements \nTo conform to U.S. Government commercial space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), applicants for employment at DMC must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158. \nCompensation\nStarting compensation is based on industry, relevant experience and location standards. \nEngineer Levels II & III (3-5 years relevant experience): $95,000 -
