Learn more at\n\nAbout the Opportunity\nThe Power BI Developer / BI Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for enterprise clients. The individual will lead initiatives around Power BI development, data modelling, and infrastructure management across multiple business domains. This position requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Data Management, along with the ability to work with Microsoft Fabric infrastructure (Warehouse and Lakehouse).\nKey Responsibilities:BI Design & Development:\nDesign and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports with optimized DAX and data modeling.\n\nDevelop and maintain data flows using Power Query, ensuring efficiency and consistency across reports.\n\nImplement and manage ETL pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources into the BI ecosystem.\n\nLeverage Microsoft Fabric infrastructure, including Warehouse and Lakehouse, for scalable and secure data management.\n\nEnsure high data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting layers.\n\nData Architecture & Management:\nDefine and maintain data architecture standards and governance frameworks.\n\nWork with Data Engineering teams to design efficient data models supporting analytics and reporting needs.\n\nMonitor and optimize BI performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability.\n\nMaintain and enhance existing BI infrastructure in alignment with organizational and client needs.\n\nStakeholder Engagement & Leadership:\nCollaborate with business users, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver BI solutions.\n\nCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nLead discussions around data-driven decision-making and solution design.\n\nMentor and guide junior BI developers on technical skills, coding standards, and best practices.\n\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement:\nStay current with emerging BI technologies and tools, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem.\n\nRecommend improvements to processes, tools, and data architectures to enhance BI efficiency and scalability.\n\nParticipate in proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for advanced analytics and automation opportunities.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence development, with a focus on Power BI.\n\nStrong expertise in Power Query, DAX, and advanced data modelling techniques.\n\nProficiency in SQL for querying, optimization, and ETL logic development.\n\nHands-on experience in Data Management and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.\n\nExperience working with Microsoft Fabric, including Warehouse and Lakehouse concepts.\n\nStrong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.\n\nExcellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement and business discussions.\n\nGood to Have (Preferred Skills):\nExperience with PySpark or Python for data transformation and automation.\n\nExposure to Cognos BI or other enterprise BI platforms.\n\nExperience with Power Apps and Microsoft ecosystem integration.\n\nFamiliarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.\n\nMicrosoft certifications in Power BI, Fabric, or SQL Server preferred.\n\nCore Competencies:\nStrategic and analytical thinking\n\nOwnership and accountability\n\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills\n\nExcellent collaboration and mentoring abilities\n\nCustomer-focused mindset with solution orientation\n\nEmployment Type:Full-time | PermanentPhysical Requirements: No physical requirement is needed for this position.\nLocation: Remote, India \n\nWorking at DMI\n\nDMI is a diverse, prosperous, and rewarding place to work.
