With a dedicated mentor in the industry you will contribute to real projects, develop valuable skills, and learn about the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction projects, from conception to completion.\nThis is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience, build your future, and make a tangible impact in the world.\nWe are seeking an intern local to San Diego, CA able to work approximately 20 hours per week beginning January 2026, with summer internship opportunities available.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nIdentify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes. \nWork with concrete suppliers to develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs. Assist Project Engineers with the preparation of detailed project submittals. \nDevelop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations. \nCoordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors. \nPerform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers prior to concrete placements. \nVisit local construction sites during precast panel erection. \nQualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program.
